

Zordon, now only appearing as a large blue head in a blue tower of light, asked Alpha to find five "teenagers with attitude", thus creating the first generation of Power Rangers. In 1993, Rita's dumpster was discovered and opened by astronauts, and she immediately resumed her plans to conquer Earth. Much like Rita, despite being his most famous line, he never actually says it in the show proper. "Alpha, Rita's escaped! Recruit a team of teenagers with attitude!" ―Zordon in the opening. COMIC STORY- Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (Boom! Studios) Issue 20 MMPR Era Zordon felt guilty for the decision he made. However, the team he assembled lacked in teamwork and three of his five chosen Rangers were killed in their first and only mission. Zordon assembled a team of five professionals from different nations across Earth to become Power Rangers and defend Earth against Psycho Green, fighting him on the Moon. on Earth, Psycho Green was sent by Dark Specter to attack Earth. Zordon also prepared for the eventual arrival of evil by placing key weapons across the solar system such as the Mega Voyager which he left on the moon of Jupiter during his time in the tube. Once his training was completed he then sent him to another Command Center to be the guardian of the Earth in the event anything happened to Zordon. Zordon also had a student named Gosei, and trained him in this methods.

Around this time he befriended a young robot created by King Lexian named Alpha 5, and became a father figure of sorts to him after having to leave his home planet, Edenoi.

In preparation, Zordon constructed a base of operations known as the Command Center in the California desert and used it to stage the creation of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Zordon knew that Rita may one day return and continue her war on Earth. However, before Zordon was gone, he sealed Rita and her minions into a space dumpster where they were to reside for eternity. His only communication with the outside world would be through an energy tube. In the closing days of the war, Rita would enact one final act of defiance by using her powers to banish Zordon into a time warp in which he existed outside normal time.

It was also known that Rita came into the possession of a sixth Power Coin, the Dragon Dagger, and the Dragonzord, through unknown means. It was also during this period that Zordon discovered five Power Coins and a map to the Desert of Despair. She and her henchmen occupied a palace on Earth's Moon, located directly above the location of the powerful Zeo Crystal. Sometime during the conflict, Rita entered into service to the great Lord Zedd, who assigned her to conquer Earth. Many of Zordon's warriors perished in battle with Rita's minions, such as the Knasty Knight. This war stretched for 2,000 years and across countless planets. War broke out between Zordon and the factions of Rita. Sometime eight to ten thousand years ago, Rita Repulsa sought to conquer many worlds in the universe. COMIC STORY- Go Go Power Rangers Issue 18 War with Rita Repulsa The people of Edenoi built Alpha 1 to aid Zordon in fighting evil and was nearly destroyed during a battle in space. King Lexian doesn't blame Zordon as he and others didn't expect Zordon to win the war on his own and King Lexian believes there is still hope to win the war. After witnessing that the universe was dying by the hands of Master Vile in a war, Zordon blames himself for failing to protect the universe on his own. COMIC STORY- Go Go Power Rangers Issue 17 Zordon was willing to protect Fienna and Rita from Master Vile, Fienna's husband and Rita's father, but in the meantime, Zordon wanted to celebrate the birth of Rita. Zordon gave her a gift a baby rattle for Rita. Over ten thousand years ago on Planet Iutus, Zordon witnessed the birth of Rita Repulsa, being by the side of Rita's mother Lady Fienna. Zordon as he appeared before being trapped in a time warp.
